Primary data source
Performance facts come from the Google Search Console Search Analytics API for properties the connected Google account can access. RankPortfolio can request date, query, page, country, device, and search-appearance dimensions. It does not scrape rankings or estimate third-party traffic.
Windows and completeness
Comparisons use explicit, equal-length periods and avoid treating incomplete recent days as complete evidence. The interface states the selected window and comparison baseline. Historical availability remains subject to Google Search Console retention and API behavior.
Aggregation and API limits
Google documents that the Search Analytics API returns top rows and does not guarantee every row. Aggregated property totals and dimension-level tables can therefore answer different questions and should not be assumed to reconcile perfectly at the long tail.
AI is downstream of facts
Metrics, changes, thresholds, and evidence selection are calculated before an AI model writes an explanation. AI output is an interpretation aid, not a substitute for the underlying dates and measurements, and should be reviewed before consequential action.
Hidden properties and scope
A user can hide a Search Console property from dashboards, Ask, reports, and alerts without removing the Google connection. Any portfolio conclusion therefore applies only to the currently included properties and available synchronized data.
No causal claim
Clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position can reveal movement and support investigation. They do not independently establish why a change occurred. RankPortfolio communicates recommendations as evidence-backed next steps, not guaranteed outcomes.
